What cookies and tracking tools are
Cookies are small text files that your browser saves on your device when you visit a website. Each time you return to that website, your browser sends the cookies back to the server, allowing the site to recognize your device and any preferences you have set. Beyond cookies, websites can use other similar tracking technologies (like web beacons, pixel tags, or local storage) to collect information about browsing. In this notice, when we mention "cookies," we mean cookies and all equivalent tracking tools, as governed by the Italian Data Protection Authority's Guidelines (10 June 2021).
Technical and necessary cookies (no consent required)
Technical cookies are essential for the site to work and do not require your consent. We use: • Session cookies: allow your browser to maintain the connection to the site and complete operations like submitting a contact form. • Security cookies: protect the site from attacks and fraud by verifying that requests come from a legitimate user. • Preference cookies: store choices you make on the site (such as language, dark mode, and your cookie consent choices). Special note: Consent cookie ("deltacode_consent"). This cookie saves your choices about analytics and tracking cookies on your device. It is a technical cookie that requires no consent and is essential for respecting your preferences.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, so we can improve the experience and content. How consent works: Google Analytics 4 is NOT loaded by default. When you first visit the site, a notice asks you to consent to analytics cookies. If you accept, our system activates Google Analytics and sets tracking cookies. Cookies used by Google Analytics 4: • _ga: identifies your device anonymously. Lasts 2 years. • _ga_<CONTAINER-ID>: tracks individual sessions. Lasts 2 years. These cookies do not collect personal data (name, email, etc.). They collect only anonymized information: which pages you visit, how much time you spend on the site, what device you use. Google processes this data according to its Privacy Policy (see https://policies.google.com/privacy). Refusing analytics cookies: If you refuse these cookies, Google Analytics is not loaded and no tracking data is collected. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie consent banner in the site footer.
No profiling or marketing cookies
We do NOT use profiling, remarketing or marketing cookies. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not track your behavior across other websites to build advertising profiles. The only third party that collects data through our site is Google Analytics 4, and only if you consent to analytics cookies. Google Analytics is used solely to understand how our site is used and improve it; it is not used for marketing or profiling purposes.
How to manage and revoke cookie consent
Via our consent banner: The cookie banner will appear when you first visit the site (or if you haven't made a choice yet). You can: • Accept all analytics cookies by clicking "Accept". • Refuse all cookies (except technical ones) by clicking "Refuse". • Customize your choices by clicking "Manage cookies", where you can enable or disable specific cookie categories. Your choices are saved in the "deltacode_consent" cookie and respected every time you visit the site. Change your mind later: You can always change your consent preferences at any time: • By finding the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer (Company column). • By deleting cookies from your browser (see below). Manage cookies from your browser: If you want to manage or delete cookies manually, you can do so from your browser settings: • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data > Manage all site data and permissions. • Firefox: Preferences > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data. • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data. • Edge: Settings > Privacy, search and services > Clear browsing data > Cookies and other site data. Disabling technical cookies may compromise the site's functionality. Analytics cookies can be disabled without any impact on browsing.
Third parties and links to their policies
Google LLC (Google Analytics 4): Google Analytics is the service we use to track anonymous browsing data, but only if you accept analytics cookies. Google is the data controller for tracking data. To learn more about how Google processes data and what cookies it uses, see: • Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy • Google Transparency Center: https://policies.google.com/ • Google Cookies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/types Google Consent Mode is the technical mechanism we use to tell Google NOT to collect data until you consent. You can read more about Google Consent Mode in Google's documentation: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9976101 No other third parties: We do not work with other advertising, remarketing or data broker platforms. Your data is not sold or shared with commercial partners.
Data retention and cookie duration
Technical and consent cookies: The "deltacode_consent" cookie that saves your consent choices remains active until you manually delete it from your browser or revoke consent via the banner. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>) remain on your device for 2 years from when they were set or last updated. After 2 years, Google automatically deletes them and associated data is aggregated or deleted from Google's servers. Google retains raw Google Analytics data for a period that depends on your property's settings: typically 2 months, 14 months, or 26 months (or indefinitely if no expiration period has been set). Consult your Google Analytics property's data retention settings for specific details. Data access: We (Delta Code) can access aggregated Google Analytics reports, but never have access to raw personal data (such as non-anonymized IP addresses).
Updates to this notice
We may update this Cookie Policy over time to reflect changes to our practices, technology, or privacy regulations. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of the page. If we make significant changes (such as adding new cookie categories or new third parties), we will notify you by showing the cookie consent banner the next time you visit the site. We encourage you to check this page periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
